Continuing Education Policy

I am currently a Texas LPC CE provider, but as of February of this year, Texas has discontinued its CE Provider program, leaving it up to the licensee to document and justify his or her claim of continuing education.

At this point, I will be changing the verbiage on all of my certificates of completion to reflect "contact hours," rather than CEs awarded. This will give you an accurate assessment of time spent on the particular course, or module.

In the near future, I will applying to be approved as an NBCC (National Board of Clinical Counselors) Approved Provider of Continuing Education. I probably will not have that credential until 2020, but whenever I do, I will change the verbiage on the certificates of completion to reflect NBCC CEs awarded.
